My Country
My name is Doris. I’m an artist, aunty, mother and grandmother from Willowra in the Northern Territory, just above Yuendumu. I sometimes come to Irrunytju to visit my sister-in-law Eva Baker, who is a famous artist at Minyma Kutjara Artists. I have been painting here too whilst visiting her with my daughter and sister June and Gwendolyn. I paint the Country around Willowra, the river beds and rock holes that are important to me.
